Global Warming
Global warming is the increase in the average temperature of the world. Most of the observed temperature increase has been caused by increasing concentrations of greenhouse gases. It is due to human activity such as the burning of fossil fuel and deforestation. An increase in global temperature will cause sea levels to rise and will change the amount and pattern of precipitation, probably including expansion of sub-tropical deserts. Warming is expected to melt down glaciers, permafrost and sea ice. Other likely effects include changes in the frequency and intensity of extreme weather events. species extinctions, and changes in agricultural fields. As a result of contemporary increases in er atmospheric carbon dioxide, the oceans have e become more acidic. Scientists are unanimous that e Bangladesh will be one of the badly affected y countries. Almost one third of the total area will be t submerged under water for ever. In the last few r years, there were some natural disasters like cyclone d’Aila’ that caused deaths to thousands of people. Now the tidal surge is common as the sea level has e already risen. Some small islands went under water for ever. As Bangladesh will be the worst victim, we should raise her voice against global warming.
